Haha, you found out where I park my car.
Even though I owned it for almost 3 years, I still love my ride.
I think the trick is to keep it waxed nice and shinny so we will keep on admire our own ride
On the side note, I think you look like a cool guy, and your white clean ride suit you very well. I am sure your friends compliment your ride as well. Your ride looks even more clean without that front license plate.
Less is better when modding, good job man.

Still working on it. Haven't completely sealed the housing with the silicons yet, cuz I didn't have enough time.

nice car:w00t:
since i am still running on stock OEM shocks, ride quality did not change that much. It became more or less bouncier than before, though.
Gas mileage difference is very subtle, so little that it does not bug me at all. But since the wheels are heavier, I am sure the MPG is lower compared to stockies.

Did you end up getting your spoiler professionally painted/installed? If so, how much did you end up paying?
Also, there's something about your white headlight housing that really makes me want my yaris to be white instead of flint.
Kaotic Lazagna
04-19-2009, 05:38 AM
I got my spoiler painted for ~$284, I believe, and I installed it myself, don't know about DarkMoon, but probably expect a paint matched 1EO to cost around there for painting.

04-19-2009, 05:45 AM
Ouch.....thanks for the info. As it stands, it will cost me around $2,000 for mods to have my yaris lookin good. Power locks/alarm $200, Spoiler 170, then painted, bodykit 400-500 then painted, lowering springs, wheels, and tint. :/

Roughly what I spent on mine for the same things.
darkmoon87
04-19-2009, 07:18 AM
Bought the spoiler from Garm (micro image), so you will know the price.
For the painting, I got it done from Toyota bodyshop and I know the people there so they did it for $150 cdn. They did painting + a minor body work
Then, the installation I did it at a shop where my friend works as a bodyman / mechanic, and paid $50 cash+$25 starbucks giftcard to get it done XD
So roughly about $400 cdn spent altogether
Those look just like Civic SI spoiler, very sporty.
Darkmoon, I am serious that your ride looks so nice now with the spoiler installed.
Wish I had a sedan like yours now.

whats the sound like?
oh, compared to his, yours dont loook like the exhaust tip is touching the rear lip/bumper. did you do anything to yours, or did you just straight install it?

the top of the muffler is actually touching the rear lip, so i was worried that my lip might melt over time. it's been almost a month since i installed it. did some long trips, which a few of them were cruising 140km/h+ for a couple of hours and the others were touge runs (which I never got out from 2nd and 3rd gear for most of the time for like 30~60 mins). After all those beatings + regular daily driving, the lip is still good. Just the area where the lip is touching the muffler, the paint came off, but no melting at all.
My mechanic didnt use anything else than what came with the exhaust when he was installing it on my car.
Soundwise, I am more than happy. The sound may not be as deep as Magnaflow, but deep enough from what you can get out of 1.5L yaris engine I'd say. The burnt tip looks pretty hot (no pun intended) too
All in all a successful investment on my end :w00t:

Your buddy takes some awesome pics! When I purchased my black sedan last year, the dealer also had a white one with the black interior. While I love my black Yaris, there is something about a white one with black rims that does something to me.
