it is easy to replace 2 14mm bolts then switch them.

probably only in sound and possibly marginally better pull in the high end. Nothing epic. It's only an axle-back after all.

buy axleback for sound not for hp gain....

It will sound better, but you will only notice a slight performance gain if you have a good intake as well.

Do u lose any MPG from the exhaust?

Probably not, but definitely lose some low end torque IMHO.
Nice sounds though. Well, you win some and lose some. :iono:

Don't forget pictures :)

I am getting a Tanabe exhaust, hopefully, and I would love to see pics of them on the Yaris.

Just installed my Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust. It took me a total of 30 minutes to jack up my car, remove the factory exhaust, unbox the Tanabe, install the Tanabe, remove the jacks, and take pictures. Piece of cake install. It sounds awesome !! It's not much louder than the factory exhaust with a tip that I had been running. Just has a deeper tone. Here are pics of the new exhaust.

It looks vulnerable. Any pothole or bump would scratch it, wouldn't it? :s

Whats up with the way its mounted, it does look vulnerable especially at a steep drive way or something, tanabe shoud of mounted the other way like other exhaust.

The canister style mufflers (and many aftermarket axlebacks like Megan) hang a lot lower than the Tanabe.

I was getting a tanabe exhaust but the there is noway it will last with the shitty roads here...you can't mount that muffler horizontally?

EDIT: How much did it cost you?

It would hang lower horizontally.

Don't get me wrong but im a big Tanabe fan, but the exhaust is not my cup of tea just by how it looks mounted, ppl who will see the exhaust on the yaris are gonna think that who ever installed you muffer did it wrong.

It would hang lower horizontally.

That's right. The reason is mounted vertically is to be able to hang it higher.

This car has very little space back there to mount a muffler.

Other aftermarket mufflers hang way lower.

I actually copied the Tanabe style on my custom axle back. I have more clearance than stock.

The way the muffler canister is so close to the wheel, you will never be able to compress the rear suspension enough for the muffler to scrape the road. You'd break something in your suspension first.

The only way you might hit it is if you backed up into something.

Would it? I don't know, it might be my lack of sleep, but I can't see how it would hang lower horizontally.

Well if noones having problems with it I might still stick to getting one. As far is looks is concerned, I like it.

Cleong is correct. The way the factory designed the canister and mounted it is correct. No issues noted.
