I was wondering if anyone was willing to help me with the wiring with my alarm install. If anyone is I will post the alarm's installation guide with all the wires. Can you just point me to where the wires would go to on the yaris electrical guide? thank you in advance!

you still need to keep the h1/3 siren output wire(brown) h1/5chassis ground(black) h1/2 12v input just splice into the remote start constant wire (red) remote start input you need neutral safety (black/white) just ground it,
then thats pretty much it besides you gotta program it but where you at im free on thursday so let me know where you be or private message me a number i can help you if this all seems to be a blur

That's too bad. Unfortunately, alarms aren't much of a deterrent. :frown:

Thats what I thought 2 years ago when I installed keyless entry. They don't want a Yaris, they want what is in and on a Yaris...

It's my understanding that they are expensive to replace after an accident.

Full coverage insurance owns over any alarm

Correct. Factory replacement, IIRC, is in the neighbourhood of a thousand dollars.

Fail. Your premiums may not show it the first time, but you bet it'll pop up when you go for a second claim.
I've been pretty lucky, I didn't lock my doors one night (forgot), and some bandits swiped the change and twenty bill in the dash. That's okay, alot better than the people who had busted out windows!

I actually bought one myself for the keyless entry feature and also it drops my insurance 140 bucks a year...I really don't care about the alarm feature, but if I can spend 30 bucks on an alarm and save 140 a year it seems to make financial sense. Of course others install for other reasons, but thought that I would put that out there.

There are other techniques one can do to to secure your equipment...but as was mentioned before, for the most part, if they want your stuff, they're going to get it.
For me I'm usually within 15 seconds of my car. The way I have my equipment installed, it'd take a crowbar to get it out...giving me that 15 seconds at least. What happens when we come face to face? It depends on if I'm "scared for my life" when the scum comes at me with a deadly weapon or not...

I'll take that bet as I have used my insurance company several times over the years and my premium has never gone up..install the alarm if it makes you feel better
