What CCFL kit are you using? The Toyota branded ones? If you're using the cheap kinds they sell for computers, how did you wire them in?

Look great btw!

Cool so:

- Connect each CCFL to the inverter.
- Connect inverter's ground wire to any ground.
- Connect the inverter's 12v / red wire to a switched or constant source?

The Architect

So those lights are on all the time when you turn your ignition on?

So those lights are on all the time when you turn your ignition on?

I don't think so since he used a switch; I'm guessing there's current going to the inverter but only to the lights when the switch is "on."

Oh ok, I thought he meant he wired it to a switched source (only works when ignition is turned on).

That's pretty sick. I'm thinking about doing something like this because of how dark my window tint is. So dark in my car at night that I cant see anything.

The Architect

its not as bright as it looks lol, its easy on the eyes when in the car. my camera just does that sort of thing for night shots.

I used to have those same cathode tubes under my seats too! LOL. Got sick of it and ripped them out... but definitely a fun, cheap mod, plus its a great way to get to know some of the wiring behind your dash.
