That's awesome. Ever figure what your gas mileage was for the entire trip?

I will be taking a trip to Vegas from Orange County. I will keep track of the mileage and what not.
With my buddy driving it at 80 MPH, i'm guessing it will be at about 35 MPG.

Vegas is 10 to 10 1/2 hour trip for me. I have driven 7 different vehicles there but not the Yaris. Maybe in 2009.

Stone chips are a part of driving a car. It's near impossible to get around unless you have a bra on it. I plan on owning mine until it's dead and although I take great care of it, not thrashing it, etc...I drive the thing like it's meant to be and have fun with it. Drive spiritedly around corners sometimes (the thing handles awesome if you havn't noticed) and drive anywhere near or far. Rock chips are just part of the game for any DD car. Have fun!!

When I bought my Yaris, I bought it off a girl in LA. I filled up as soon as I bought it, and got stuck in stop and go traffic in LA for 4 hours. Then drove the whole way home (las vegas) going 80-85mph, I had to go to the restroom, and stopped at state line, and filled up gas cause I wanted to know my mpg. I got 33.14mpg on that tank, my Scangauge said I had 35... but it takes a bit for it to adjust to a new car.

Okay. Just got back last night.
On the way up, we avg'd about 80-85, with several sprints in the 90 range. AC was on for about 75% of the time. We hit about 115-117 to see what it could do. That MPG averaged about 29.82.
On the way down. I did most of the driving, so we avg'd about 70-75, some sprints at 80. I also did a run up to about 117-118. AC was on for less than 50% of the time. That MPG averaged about 41.21.
