Its a seat cover. Lots of cars in japan had this type or variation of this cover. The cabs all had seat covers of a similar material that were always clean. Just one of those japanese touches I liked.:wub:

it's to keep all kinds of dirt, grease, dandruff, and sweat away from the seat...
usually seen used in taxi in japan and other asian countries...
definitely not sporty...
but if you want to keep your seat clean...
instead of washing your seat... you take off the thing and wash...

They are $62.96 if you buy in Japan. Then there is shipping. The japan parts is $83.14 I don't think that includes shipping. I' ll check with my Japanese friends.

I don't know, I think the full seat covers are pretty awesome. I don't think the Yaris needs aftermarket seats... the stock seats have nice pronounced walls on them that keep me cradled pretty well. The full seat covers look nice, plus they say Vitz on them which might get people asking questions, which allows me to give a history lesson. :thumbsup: $277 bucks though... I guess it beats $500+ EACH for some nice aftermarket seats. Can you throw some harnesses on the stock seats? I don't want to slide around so much when I'm driving to Kent State University doing 75 in a 35 hahaha
