Those look to be the previous gen ones, so if you have the current one I believe those won't fit and they are for hatch only, although the first link they look like they are for the sedan ECHO/Platz???.:thumbsup:

NONE of them will fit the 06-07 Liftbacks anyhow.

Remember, the upper most foward part of our tail lights are a bit "pointed" towards the front of the car..

OK, so I emailed the guy and asked if there would need to be any bumper modifications to the North American Yaris or if it could just be swapped with the stock lights. I also inquired as to a Group Buy. I will let you all know when they get back to me

I agree.. this sounds better idea. Get the LED plug and tap it from the OE wiring. The installation is much cleaner and don't need to worried about swapping it back to the OE tail light.

I think it is better to mod the plug on the LED light to match the body one, I dont know it will work or not. But it will be better if you have warranty on the car since you mod the light not the harness that attach the car. but I might be wrong.

All you need is the chassis-side wiring harness from the JDM Vitz RS AND A USDM taillight-side wiring harness (basically, cut the ends off of your USDM taillights, which i won't do so i gotta locate some brand new ones or find a wrecked Yaris..or buy someone's old USDM taillights for experimenting...)

just eye-balling the the back of the two units (usdm and jdm) from my screen, it looks like the usdm connector is flatter and wider than the squarish plugs on the jdm unit. getting the "car-side" harness sounds like a good idea, but 1.) i guess there is some way around it according to that seller, and 2.) getting that specific harness would probably be another issue all by itself.

for ease of replacement back to originals (for reasons beyond me- maybe in case they break?), id go for the femaile plug, so the body-side could remain stock.

anywaiz, the led taillight uses the leds for the stop lights and running lights, using dual-intensity leds (similar to dual-filament incandecant bulbs).

Are you talking about the clear LED tail or the JDM RS LED tail? Personally I prefer the JDM RS ones. Not so into the clear type.

My mother in-law has a cargo box (container ship type) in route to us from oversea's.. takes about 30 days from when it leaves port... I had her run a bunch of part number's to see what things cost, and whatever I wanted, would have just been packed in the container.. hence the free shipping part.

I never went thru with anything, as some parts, like the rear lip spoiler, were actually cheaper here once you factored in the conversion rate at the time.
