It can always be cut down. I'm checking to see about it fitting with the s/c now. When we get the intakes, I'll check that too. If everything were powdercoated, it would look crazy good!

very nice.. but in a turbo setup wouldn't this cover cause the valvetrain to stay hotter?
cali yaris

Maybe hotter than if nothing was there, but the stock engine cover is thick plastic with no vents and a bit of insulation in the bottom!
I have one of those laser things, I'll check my valve cover temps with and without the cover on.

come to think of it you COULD insulate the backside of the cover :) for those of us who's engine is hotter on the outside (turbo) than the inside..

valve cover was exactly the same temp with or without the cover on it.
I made a lil video, I'll try and post it up.

I haven't tried it with a s/c car yet. I'm hoping Lt Noogie will swing by, or maybe Laszlo so we can see what mods might be needed.

Maybe by this weekend I'll be driving the Yaris again.
My brother's shop, where we're working on it, is only two blocks away from you on Alabama Ave.

cool man give me a call and let me know when you're there, and the address. Do you have the blower on it yet?
LtNoogie
11-18-2008, 12:13 PM
The blower will go on tomorrow night now that Camell told me what I was doing wrong with the manifold bolts. After that, the air plenum bolts on top. At that point, you can do a fit check of the new engine covers. That, or kurokoma-kun can send me the Domo cover and we will cut it to fit for her.
I'll get you my brother's shop address and phone number and you can drop by during the day. I won't get there until 7pm and we will just work until his phone is ringing off the hook.
