"What? You get over 40MPG and you can seat 4? Wow, you're the new group driver!"

does premieum gas really help with mpg?

165 so far, just bought her this past weekend.

NO PREMIUM GAS IS REQUIRED OR NEEDED FOR THIS CAR!

Stick to regular unleaded. If it required premium, I would not have bought it.

Not at all

Higher octane = more power or MPG is a myth...

Higher octane can not increase HP or fuel mileage.
Higher octane fuel just means it has a higher flash point, Falame front speeds burn rates and even temps are the same...
The only time one needs higher octane is if the compression level is so high thats causing ditonation or pre-ignition.

Fact is... Running an octane higher then needed can and usually will cost you HP.

Almost 4000 miles after one month to the day (I drive 90+ miles a day to work and home).

2600 on our sedan. We bought it in early May, but had it in the shop for 2 weeks while it was repaired from hitting a deer at 40 mph. Haven't seen 40 mpg yet, but have been at 38 to 39.
