With February fast approaching I need to upgrade to a HD antenna. I bought a picture frame style HD antenna which works good only on some of the TV stations. I would like to replace the old style Radio Shack antenna in the attic with a HD that would get all the channels. Suggestions anyone??

You don't necessarily need an HD antenna. Some of that is hype. Many people in the
Milwaukee area on the High Def forum,
http://www.milwaukeehdtv.org/forums/index.php?s=
seem to like the ChannelMaster 4228, which is a bowtie type. I looked on the
ChannelMaster site, and they are now calling it 4228HD.
I have a Radio Shack antenna mounted in my apartment on the second floor, and
pick up all the Milwaukee stations pretty good, except for the low power ones.
This is currently feeding an HD card in the computer. I believe the model I have is
the VU-75XR, which I don't see on their site anymore. It was on sale and cost me
about $20 a few years ago.

Depending on how old your antenna is, you might want to try and see what happens
when you hook that up to your new tv. If it is in the attic, you probably don't have
rust issues like outdoor antennas.

I see you are in Colorado. I guess it would be good to know what your distance from
the station towers are and the terrain. You can also check antennaweb.org for more
info on selecting antennas. Most of the towers are within 20 miles for me.
