Look in your owner's manual pack. There should be a maintence schedule in there.

There used to be maintenance schedules on the Toyota sites as well, but last time I referred to the canadian website it was down. I don't know about the US one.

5K oil changes are okay. That's what the owner's manual suggests, and the oil change reminder light is set at 5K cycles. Should also rotate your tires every 5K.

I'm not sure of the proper service interval but I change the air filter every other time I change the oil. I'll probably change the cabin air filter (home made see thread) when I change the air filter. Remember to check air pressure when rotating tires.

Good point about the air pressure. I check mine pretty often, any time the weather takes a change (in Oklahoma that's pretty often) and all 4 are usually about 3-4 lbs low. All 4 tires are always down the same amount, so I doubt it's a leaky sensor.
I'll probably change my air filter every 15K, and my Yaris didn't have a cabin filter installed, so I bought one from the dealer soon after I bought the car. Probably will change it every 15K also.
Even my friends new Xd didn't have a cabin filter already installed, crazy that Toyota doesn't install them at the factory.

If you go to the Toyota Yaris website you'll see a link on the bottom "for owners", you can access the maintenance schedule there, or you can go here (http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/index.php).

The US Yaris is the only one that doesnt come with a cabin filter already installed. I guess they think we dont need it or maybe they are trying to kill us slowly!
