The first one is Zage, not really sure on how it performs. Some say its turbos are bad others say someone should try it. The other 2 I haven't heard of but the only way we will know if it works if is someone spends their money and updates us of the status.

2nd setup doesn't even give you a mani, but yeah he does have the Zage kit, but the mod list seems skeptical for the power output...or the zage turbos can only push 5psi without exploding... Now if he got the turbo rebalanced that would be a different story with that kit... because i hear that was the only major issue on the civic kit..

and if you can contact them directly they sell it for $2000

FYI

That turbo kit does not actually exists!

Turbo Toyotas is not producing it any more. Sure if you contact them they will tell you they'll get you one. After a 6-12 month wait.

I don't think the ZAGE turbo kit is shi**t like others have said. Is just a budget kit. You have to take it for what it is. It probably won't last long if you are planning to abuse it.

On the other hand we have reports of a lot of people using the kit in other countries with no major problems reported.

Sure, you can not compare a Taiwan made turbo charger against a Garret unit and it probbaly won't last as long as a Garret but you get what you pay for.
If you end up blowing the seals of the turbo aster only one year... then you can go and have it replaced with a high end unit.

What else could go wrong with this kit? A crack on the manifold? Unlikely since is a cast iron piece.

I say go for it! How bad could it be!

I already use ZAGE turbo kit on my own Yaris 1,5L. they works great.
afew month ago in Indonesia yaris show off, 10 of them use Turbo kit & 5 of them by Zage Turbo kit, they works great on The right Hand! The most important is Piggy back tuning (dastek unichip type Q)+ extra injector .
some of my friend already use yaris- zage turbo kit for 1year (last november 2007) Top speed 205Km/h. (on A/T).

& my yaris reach 180Km/H easy!

no problem on water temp etc... they works great if you get right good mechanic..

my own yaris , zage turbo kit, extra injector, Piggy back dastek unichip type Q+ with turbo module , Gizzmo IBC, earl's oil cooler, boost controller, + turbo timer. I got 175HP,

Zage turbo kit works great on left hand drive, AT . (down pipe model plug & play on left hand drive, if right hand drive we must modify down pipe like mine)

only problem is the management. I'm sure there would be quite a few more turbo yarii on here if that problem could get solved.

"what's in the kit" has nothing to do with how much power it will make.. if the turbo is big enough, you'll make the power.. with boost turned up of course

revoturbo

with big turbo = big power = big turbo lag..

small turbo = enough power = low turbo lag = daily use no problem = save on fuel too

Hi I just joined and I want to buy a zage turbo kit and was wondering if there is anything else I need.
I need gauges and I don't which ones i need apart from boost gauge and where is the best place to mount them

Wow, 5 year old thread. I sell the Zage kits here in the USA.

Recommended gauges besides boost are oil pressure and water temp.

You'll need to buy management so you can tune your motor as well; the Zage kit does not include engine management. I would also have a set of 1ZZ injectors on hand in case your particular tune come out too lean with stock injectors.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions for you.

Is there a zage kit for the 2004 echo? I am tempted to trade the echo in for a Mini Cooper just for the fact that I want some extra kick in my ride and I wouldn't have to mod the mini. (Already super/turbo charged) But I don't want to loose the reliability of the mighty yota!

Whatever you do you would very well regret going with the Mini. They are about as reliable as dollar store toilet paper. If there isn't a Zage kit for the echo in your year you would probably only need to pick up a couple different sections of IC piping depending on spacial issues.
