Read the threads in this Performance Mods section. Then ask questions.

I/H/E plus midpipe and intake manifold and a tune should get you there. Not simple or cheap (It's a 1.3 liter motor) :frown:

heck even with our bigger 1.5L motors, 120hp is no piece of cake yet

120! if you are talking wheel HP.... that's around a 50% power increase from stock... And you won't get there unless you go Turbo... or nitrous I guess.

It would be expensive, (I guess you can also go cheap and just wait for it to blow up  )
It's a first Gen Yaris right? Probably cheaper to get a 1.5l Yaris for the initial 10 or so WHP.

Anyway, I've seen Turbo 2nz-fe's in Europe and Asia ( this engine didn't make it to the US so most people in this forum are not very familiar with it) I bet You could get more info from the UK Yaris crowd

Here's a Greddy Kit for the 2nz-fe bB (Xb) .. no idea on where you can get it, the part number is there...

We should all just move to Japan, I bet even Microwave Ovens have specific plug n play turbo kits in Japan (""e-manage w/data"" included of course)

Spark plugs won't do nothing for you.

CAI + Header + Exhaust + Light weight Pulleys

That combo will probaly net you around 10-12whp

The 1.3L engine has 86 hp at the crank. That's probably around 75 whp

75 whp + 10-12 whp increase = 87 whp.

Sorry to dissapoint you but even with all the bolt ons you still aint going to kick any ones ass...

Get your self a turbo or some Nitrous, and MAYBE you will be able to reach the 120 whp.

That B16 is one you wouldn't be able to kick.

some nice clean Denso Iridium IK16's would actually help out.

i think your best mod would be a swap.. it'll cost less than a turbo kit and will be more reliable.. how about the 1.8 from the Tsport?

Sell it and buy the 1.5L version, or buy faster car :)

I'm not familiar with the cars in egypt, so i'd listen to your buddy over there, and agree with you, kimo.

The Yaris (at least the 1.5 and the 1.8) come with Denso Iridiums from factory. That why I said there is not much to gain by changing the plugs.

I will probably make some mad with this comment, but if you are wanting to race and go fast this is probably not the car for you. Don't get me wrong I love driving the Yaris it is a really nice fuel efficent car and fun to drive, but from a dead stop there are a few large displacement Mo-Peds that would probably take it.

I have put in pulse plugs in my yaris and they definately helped with torque and hp, they did take 800-1000 miles for the computer to adjust...one did fail prematurely<apparently the insulator for the capicator was too thin>..and i put the orig plugs back in until i got another replacement under warranty<5oK>
and could tell the decrease in power...they are re-installed again...who ever says their isnt a difference in spark plugs is wrong...even if i have to replace them again..theyre still worth it..i also put in a AEM cold-air intake that has helped with upper Rpm passing power...using 91 octane has also helped<higher retards timing> good luck

The car manual says 92 hp ? ...i dunno how come , but honestly i think its power is under-rated and more powerful than some 1.6s at high revs like opel corsa 1.6 and golf 1.6
