how are the speaker wires wired from the sub to amp? bridged or stereo, is the sub dual voice coil? 2 ohm or 4 ohm?

im pretty sure its bridged. its not dual voice coil, and i dont remember which ohm it would be. ill have to take a look at it... could that be my problem? that im overloading it? sometimes the sub with have a minor popping sound too.

its not made to run mono... that might be the reason

edit.. maybe it is. weird they dont put the rating for the mono in the specs

yeah i might change the amp anyway, the sub is 4 ohms and im only using 1 out of the 4 channels. and it says that if its only 2 channel than its will be 2 ohms, im not a genius and i dont really know what that means or whether its a bad thing....what do u think??

there are three rca plugins on the amp. front, rear, and output. my rcas and plugged into the "front" plug in, although its plugged into the "rear" rca plugin on the deck, i get bass from the sub, just im tired of it turning itself on and off numerous amount of times when i drive. There is a switch on the amp so that u can switch from front only input or front and rear together input" , i have it on front only.

that mtx amp should work fine, but if sub is a single 4 ohm you would be best off with a 2 channel amp.
