Interesting list, because so many Prius owners say their car maintains it's value so well and that that is part of the reason it's a better purchase than a Yaris. I guess I'm even less disappointed about spending over 10 grand less on our Yaris vs a Prius now.
you now can get the BOOK VALUE for the 2008 YARIS at www.edmunds.com/tmv/used/2008/toyota/yaris/index.html for comparison to www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCars/2008_Toyota_Yaris.aspx . EDMUNDS is a bit slow to post newer used car values . We figured that you loose an average of $75 a month for trade in value , it varies by models , etc..
and THANKS for post .

According to that link, Mini is #1 for 59% and Yaris is #2 for 57%.
Prius's resale value was good.
I traded in 8 year old Prius for 38% of brand new price.
And Yaris is better than that... amazing.
we traded in '07 PRIUS late last spring when gas prices were soaring and got top dollar . Timing is crucial . Sold it the day we picked up the '08 YARIS . Talked to the buyers as well . Someone put a large dent in bottom of rear door on drives side just before we traded it in . We figure it was someone at her workplace that owns a S.U.V. or truck , due to location of dent .

It actually ranked # 2 (behind the Mini Cooper).
Kelly Blue Book performed the study and the full results were posted in yesterday's "Wall Street Journal."
