I just got the car back from progress. They are going to be making a rear sway bar and springs for us. Release date of about 4 weeks for the bar, and about 6 weeks for the springs. Not decided yet, but they are thinking a 1.8" even drop, with qutie a bit higher spring rates then stock. On a side note, The sedan was even with the liftback with front weight, but the sedan was 40 lbs lighter in the rear. Kinda odd I thought.... I will keep you guys updated...

Do the sedans come with a rear sway at all?

Will they be making a rear sway for the Liftbacks (we dont have one.. period!)?

Are you saying that the sedan is lighter than the liftback?

The sedan is 40 lbs lighter then the liftback... And the sway bar will fit the sedan and the liftback. The cars share the same suspension....

I dont understand how that could be.. :confused:

But you are correct!

Curb Weight

Liftback = 2,290 lbs.
Sedan = 2,288 lbs.

:eek:

It doesn't make sense to me either. I guess our rear hatch just weighs a ton...

Pretty odd for sure. The same width, a little shorter ( the Sedan), but way longer. All I can think of is the glass.

Liftback = probably a stronger / more metal chassis ... = more weight.

Also, the rear slidey seat assembly weighs heaps in comparison to the sedans which is static.

are you speaking of the 60/40 split, fold, tilt seat or the plain rear seat? i haven't weighed the rearseat assembly, and i'm curious as to how much it actually weighs (w/ rear seat belts, ofcourse)

read some where that the sedan is about 2 inches narrower, 2 inches shorter(less tall..), and 2 inches longer

I wouldn't be too surprised about the weights- hatchbacks are usually heavier than their sedan counterparts (the Acura Integra 4 door sedan is lighter and stiffer than the hatchback, the 96-00 Civic sedans are lighter than the hatchbacks and coupes, and so on). Sp33dy and FlintS are both right- glass and hatchback doors weigh a ton, and there is extra bracing to make up for the smaller/more compact pillars.
