Airbus.... with their "Father knows best" fly by wire.
The following video is one of the reasons why I do not like ESC and ABS...

In brief the plane will not let you "harm" it. In the above the "touch and go" touched and went. Sadly.
I am told that US planes will let you exceed structural limits but if you survive they will refuse to let you take off again until they're reset by qualified service personnel. Hopefully Airbus took note of this and adopted the "pilot knows best" scheme.
Pilots do know best - they are aware of what happens if they screw up. They die. Strong motivation not to screw up.
Thanks for the view, it's a pretty display. Don't know how functional it is but it's pretty.
My employer builds complex devices that require several layers of computer control. We try to make them as autonomous as possible. We also use the "original" keypad so that customers will not have to learn a new one.
Some of the newer models will use a "human machine interface", a high falutin term for a touch screen computer. They're easy to set up and work and will tell you pretty much what you want to know.
I've considered suggesting a more flexible approach, a kind of "tinker toys" approach that lets the customer pick what they want to see, where they want to see it. Maybe I'll put it in the suggestion box soon.

Does the A380 have a camera mounted at the top of it's tail? I see that screen in them middle and it looks to be showing the plane parked where it is. :iono:
If so that is very cool!

I would have thought that a nicer quality carpet and nicer seats........ just does not look that comfortable.

this seems to be taken from the test plane. the one they use for troubleshooting etc. the final product gets lazy boy seats and a stripper pole .
there is a total of 6 cameras on the A380. Tail , under belly near the front landing gear, one on each side near the wingtips and the other two notsure of the placement.
Oh I see the stripper pole will help with the HUD.......
There is also a camera in the ceiling behind the pilot and co-pilot..... I imagine there are alot more than 6.
My yaris has more cupholders than that
