I just recently heard this that obama wasnt born in the us. And also there is a chance he is a illegal alien so he may be deported.

Anyone know anymore about this?

If i remember correctly from history in high school. You have to be born in the us to be able to be president.

Even if McCain was born in say, Germany, he'd still be an American citizen. When military personnel (like McCain's father) have children while stationed overseas, they are STILL American citizens...and most of the time, are granted dual citizenship by the hosting country.

I guess it just amazes me that stuff like this is still out there floating around as truth. Plenty of websites, right and left have refuted these "citizenship claims" and yet none of that ever makes it out nearly as fast or as prevalent as the lies and slander. I have stood up for McCain's campaign finance and spending measures time and time again against my blue friends but the out and out falsehoods still bewilder me...

Perhaps your thinking of Obama's aunt, in which case it's true. At least the illegal alien part is. In fact Obama returned all $260 of her contributions to his campaign because it's illegal to take campaign money from a non-US citizen. But as for Obama himself, look at factcheck.org. He's legit...

I dont see why threads should get locked because some people find the question stupid... Why not just given a reasonable response like the first few in this thread or not comment at all if you find the topic stupid and then there wont be any reason for it to be locked, it only needs to be locked when people starting acting negatively because they find the topic to be stupid. definitely popular topics but if someone said "hey cocaine can make you a better driver" or " unprotected sex is 100% safe" or "a woman's place is in the kitchen" those comments would not go unnoticed...

This forum certainly has a wealth of information about everything yaris, from the people who can tell you how to wire in the JDM taillights you just bought to explaining over/understeer and the vendors who go out of their way to supply us with the things we want for better prices, but in no way am I defending what other people put on the forum...
