Wheel fitment question

Hello, I am a fan of yaris and in the market to get one. but i was curious to know the widest wheel and lowest offset that i could use on a liftbacks? my preference is flushness rather than performance. and yes, the car would be one some type of coilovers.. so any ideas or pics?? :smile:

there are members doing 17 x 7 without issues. I believe they run up to 205 width tires.

if you have too much positive offset on the wheel, you can always use 10mm or 15mm spacers to flush it out. Note that on the Yaris, the rear wheels appear to tuck more than the fronts with the same wheels.

sweet. thanks for the tip, but still would like to run something a bit wider if possible. does anyone run like 8 width with close to, say ~0 offset? anyone know if there are hub adapters to run 4x114.3 also?

My 17x7 38+ offsets were quite flush in the front. You could add a 10mm spacer in the back to even them out.

i think +25 front +20 rear is what jeff is running.

With 195 rubber, he is really stretched!

yeaaa ame makes sweet wheels. i like the vip look. i had some wheels that i had off my other car that i wanted to put on the yaris but wrong lug pattern =X they were about the sames sizes as his too. does anyone have any rubbing problems at all. ?

I have 17x8 with +35 on mine and 205/45/17 tires and it is kinda stretched and rubs on bumps with the DF210s.I have learned to ignore it and drive slow on speed bumps.I wider tire would be torn up in days on my setup,as would my fenders.

The Vitz doesn't accommodate anything too radical very well... and remain a good daily driver.

Here's 17x7's and 205/40's on Tien modified suspension. FR, ET42//RR, ET35

It's a nice clean fitment with no worries.

agreed. i dont get it.

crandall runs tenzoR rims that are 17x7 with a 35 offset and 215 tires

he's slammed on tein basics but rubs on bumps or hard corners...

i really dont think an 8" wide rim is a great idea on a yaris....esp w/ a 0 offset.....it looks like poop and does nothing for driveability

195/45 is cool for an 8. and i look for lower offset on wheels because i like concave wheels or wheels with lip.

Not a problem, mate. Just some observations from well intentioned yarisworld members... attempting to understand where you want to go with your fitment queries.
