Throttle body gasket+ oil change gaskets PICS

Anyone know what the metal screen on the TB gasket is for? Keep out critters?
Also, I added the 10pk pic of oil plug washers to encourage all to buy the real deal. They appear to be aluminum with slate blue paper bonded to both sides.

why did you buy a new TB gasket?

I like to remove the whole throttle body to properly clean it every 25K miles or so. I like to use a fresh gasket when I put it back on.

oh, never thought about swapping out the gasket at 25k

i had my tb off at about 20000kms and it looked to have no wear whatsoever

to me, it seems like a waste to be changing the gasket so frequently

You did'nt notice a lot of black stuff built up on the back side of the throttle body plate when you pulled it? That stuff can cause the TB to stick over time.
I only bought one gasket, so I don't have a lot of $ tied into this process.
Besides, since the car is under warr. still,I won't be removing it till after the 3/36k period.
