I am going to put automatic locks (with alarm) and power windows in my Yaris. Should I get it done at the dealership, or go with Autoloc or something like that? Has anyone done this before, and if so any pictures? Thanks:thumbup:

i would go through the dealer as it may be pricey though and it will be covered by warranty and it will be factory so a clean look the other option is autoloc and stuff but wont look as good as for the alarm side of it just go aftermarket there way better then the factory

If you go to a dealer they are going to use aftermarket parts. If I were you I would just do it myself. I have put the power locks on my 07 but havent put a power window kit on it yet. Go to this web site:

do you even know what is involved in putting OEM parts for both power door locks and power windows ??
all the wiring is there already, it's pretty much plug and play, but the parts are way too expensive.

i had gone to the dealer for some power lock parts for my 3 doors echo hatch. The OEM door lock relay was something about 475$... now you have to add the switch by the handbrake and the door motors.
and i say forget about power windows.. it's gonna cost another leg..

i suggest either going all aftermarket (i hate aftermarket door lock and windows kits) or trade it for a new one with power package.
