Hi all,
I am trying to slam my Yaris like this car...
(he is on these forums, but forgot his name)

Can this be done on springs or coilovers only? Please advise which ones, also what size wheels will tuck like that? Thanks!

i guess if you go with DF210's you can get pretty low.... which might clear bumps.
That is way to low....

Isn't that Jeff's (03Z33) pre-decked out LB?
The Tein S.Tech's go pretty low. I can barely clear speed bumps, but if I have people in the car, my exhaust hits.
My friend's Toaster is so low that I can't even put my entire foot below his front lip.

I think 03Z33 is sitting on some coilovers (forgot which brand) and is running some camber up front and in the rear and those wheels are 14"

Srsly, ready to cut a coil off of the DF210s... Don't really feel like rolling around on blown struts though...

Coilovers can only get you that low. You can ghetto fab it and cut the springs but you'll blow out your shocks even if you have performance ones like Tokico or TRD because you'll be bottoming them out if you are that low. If you get coilovers you would want a pretty stiff set like Silk Roads or BC Racing and they are both dual height adjustable which means you can get really low.

you can get that same effect with some other coilovers (tein, megan, etc.) these SK's are probably something 03Z33 imported from Japan?? PM 03Z33 he can help you out quite a bit, he has answered many of my questions. he is very knowledgeable on suspension set ups.

Silk Roads are the way to go. Nice stiff ride, rides like a true sportscar!

He quickly mentioned the brand, and it didn't sound like a brand that makes a set of coilovers for the Yaris.

My Megan Racing coilovers can slam the crap out of a Yaris (if that's what you want). I have my rear end up nearly all the way, and my fronts are towards the middle.

WOWsers ur car is hot man ! What kind of damping settings do you run on the street/track ???
Thirty-Nine

I run on the street at about 8 F and 10 R if I remember correctly. I bump the dampening up a few clicks for autocross. I haven't had a whole lot of seat time with this setup at autocrosses, so I'm not sure what works best yet.
You may want to look into air ride sytems if you really want to go low...

I don't want to go air ride low, I want to tuck some 16 or 17s... Hopefully some Silk Roads are in the works...

That's my car in the pic. I was actually running the Cusco coilovers when that pic was taken but go for the Silkroads, they go even lower and have more features like dampening adjustable shocks and height adjustable sway bar links.
Cali Yaris at Micro Image can set you up with them
BTW, I drove the car lower than that for over 8 months on that setup, no problems as long as you're carefull going over big speed bumps and steep driveways.

Definately go for coilovers. Springs would not give you as much control, so you'd probably be rubbing all over. Go for coilovers, and wide rims, stretch your tires, go get that hella flush look! By the way riding low it expected that you will have to sacrifice some degree of comfort on the ride because the lower you go, the stiffer your suspension has to be to avoid bottoming out. But I say go for it!
