Magnitude 5.5, which is quite decent as they go but it was 116 miles from downtown Los Angeles.

The 1994 Northridge Earthquake measured 6.7 according to Wikipedia. The epicenter is listed in Reseda, CA.
Oh yeah, that's like right under my house. That was a really scary one to wake up to.
