Hi all,
I'd like alloy rims on my car, but am very wary about buying anything due to the restrictions on fitment brought about by those TPMS sensors.
I'm thinking of having my stock tires swapped on to new rims using my existing sensors off the steel rims.
I'd love OEM Toyota, but it seems most of what's out there is 2007 only/no TPMS.
I like the '09 rims but shiver at the thought of what that set/swap over would cost.
Any ideas?
Pics/prices would be nice.
I'm looking to spend $500 max, 15"s only. OEM prefered.
THX

My tire shop, Discount Tire Centers, moved the TPMS sensors from my stock steelies to my new rims for no cost. You should ask whomever you buy from to do the same for free.

I'm sure that most of us here are not wheel experts and wouldn't know which tires are TMPS friendly.

i've been looking for wheels for a few months now and tirerack.com is a great place to start. it will tell you for every wheel you select if it is TPMS-compatible. most are - the only exception i've found being some older rial wheels i liked, but i'm sure there are others.

ALL tires are TPMS friendly. I never asked about the TIRES.
I wanted to know about wheels/rims is all, see?
