I recall a thread about this before the hack. TRD did sell a front strut bar for the Yaris. I tried ordering one from a vendor back in May '08. I was told by the vendor, and I quote:

"I wanted to thank you for your order. However, I have just been notified that the Strut Tower Brace is on Stop Sale and not currently available. Toyota has found an issue with this item that does not meet their specifications and are correcting the problem before re-releasing this item. Toyota is not accepting any back orders at this time so I regret to inform you that we have cancelled the order as we are not able to fill it."

That was back in May of this year. I have not seen the "re-released" version of the TRD front strut bar for the Yaris to date so far. Still waiting for it.:iono:

TRD had sold one in the beginning when the Yaris first came out. Since a while ago, the front strut has been discontinued. It was a solid red bar and bolts go into the two holes of the tower itself as any other front strut tower bar they make for our vehicle.

James (Jerkratt) or Andy (ROCKLAND TOYOTA) has one on their car.

From memory , i think the issue was that the bolts supplied where working loose, were touching the springs.
