ok, is smoking the tail light and/or headlights legal?, does it goes by state or % on the tint?? I want to do it but I'm worried that I'll get in trouble...

check with your local tinting shop...they should know....and in most or maybe all states its illegal...

i have it done to my car and have gotten 1 ticket... but most cops dont really care.... i dont know the percentage though but pretty sure its illegal every where no matter how dark you go

thanks for all the info!, the only reason why I'm asking is because I've seen quite a few different cars with it from stock... the new VW JETTA (I believe, I know is a 4 door) has it for example, there's also a few others, that means that they get a ticket? or is there a permit that comes with the VW?

i know that in fl, if it comes from factory with stock tinted lights its ok... its if you do it yourself(or in a body shop)

Which is stupid imho. Either it's allowed or it isn't. I've heard the same thing about window tinting.

yup but not in florida window tint can be you but can be lower than 29% which isnt worth putting tint at all in my opinion
