I only just noticed that Southeast Asian market Yarii get a LED cluster brake light in place of a single bulb.

Those lights should come stock. Stupid laws here mean that all cars must have a rear reflector making them not street legal. GGGGGGGGGrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

In my case, according to the PAKING SLIP they comme directly from Taiwan and no fees was requested by Canada Post. I paid only $342 US, nothing more.

That's not really an LED cluster. It's just a regular bulb, the reflector makes it look like a bunch of LEDs. But it is true, that the 2 lights are separated.

No it won't fit your sedan. The sedan's tail lights are an entirely different shape. =)

I got mine from Jimcat, and he sent with a cheap value and the taxes were dirt cheap!!! I still regreat not buying either the silver ones like Violin had, or getting Thomas' and being the only one in NA with Tailand tails!!!

You can also put a red (LED) bulb in the right side and switch wires.

i love how they look on the car but theres only one thing that is preventing me from getting them for my car... in the long run, if one or some led's goes bad, how can we replace that led? or is it possible to replace them? so for now im happy with my stock ones.

Regarding LED Cluster tail light:

The european and asian Yaris DO have a LED cluster inside tail light. Its the braking light. I can show you pictures later when i come home from work. Its not as cool as the RS tail light but its ok.

Thank you Franck_Qc for the great pics. I broke down and ordered a pair of JDM RS Tails from depotautolights.com too. It has been about 4 weeks since I placed my order. I sent them an an e-mail yesterday to get an ETA and they replied within an hour saying I should get a tracking number within two business days.

How long did it take before they arrived for you?

Does anyone else from Canada have any experience ordering from depotautolights.com?

Well i'm not in Canada ,i ordered some JDM taillights from them and mine
came in about 10 days.

But when i opened the box i see they sent me 2 driver side lights :thumbdown:

So i had to send one back and wait another 10 or so days for the passenger side.

I sent them a follow up e-mail as it had just passed 7 weeks since I placed my order. They advised me that my order had shipped but might be held up in customs and that they would follow up with their shipper. (I guess the folks who handle the orders aren't the same ones who process and ship them).

Does this seem like a reasonable time to wait? The contact person from depotautolights.com did offer to re-direct my order back to their warehouse and issue a full refund if I wanted to cancel my order. I told them I would wait a week for their next update. I really do want the lights but I don't want to be waiting for months. Anyone have any recommendations? :iono:

Oh, and on a sidenote - Franck_Qc, I am sorry to hear you got rid of your Yaris however your new Matrix looks sweet! :thumbup:

I just wanted to pass along an update. I heard back from depoautolights.com last Monday. They said many of their orders with Toyota were mixed up do to the typhoon a few weeks back. They placed a new order for me and six days later my new JDM RS Tails showed up.:biggrin:

I thought about following Rage2's install guide and getting the proper Toyota wiring connectors but Toyota Canada wanted $20 a piece. :eyebulge:
So, not wanting to wait I decided that cutting the wires was the quickest and most economical solution. Thank you Uncleyaris and YAR1S for that advice.

I had a chance to install them this afternoon and snapped some pictures of the transition. I am loving the new look! :wub:
