I have a 2006 Vitz 1.0L Automatic.. Is it normal that when switched off ( even with the key taken out) it consumes 170mA??

Sounds normal to me. Batter has to be running to some of the electrical equipment. This is why you don't have to reset the clock every time you start up the car but do have to if you disconnect the battery. 170mA isn't a lot. My touchscreen cell phone uses about that much when I turn on the screen to check the time.

Yes, that is a normal drain amount. I measured it while watching the effects of my solar trickle charger on the 12V battery.

Also keep in mind that even without any devices drawing current the battery still leaks some charge through gassing off. This is true for all rechargeable battery types but it is especially an issue with unsealed batteries. Most autos, including the Yaris, come with an unsealed battery (flooded lead acid).
