After seeing the destruction i wreaked on my rare, mint floormats from my 89 accord...I want to get some new ones for my yaris so i dont eff up the stock ones (im wierd bout stuff like that)

will certain mats like the weapon r g spec mats fit right, like wil they impede on teh gas pedal or brake pedal? Anyone put aftermarket floor mats in with an yprobs?

I kept my Toyota factory supplied mats, with the Yaris logo. I placed on top of them, the upgraded Genuine Toyota All-Season mats, which are the same shape as the factory mats and are custom to the car. Perfect fit, and complete look with the honeycomb pattern to match the front grille and interior heating ducts grilles (as well as my bumper protector). These are soft, flexible rubber, with deep ridges. They do not get brittle nor do they stain with salt. I hose them down easily.

I never understood covering floormats to protect them. What's the point? They're floor mats! They're designed to protect your carpet, which isn't as easily replaceable as floor mats are...

Use them, abuse them, throw them out (and get new ones)!

True dat. I read the same Toyota note. The hook actually JUST extends through the loop hole, but thanks for the warning. They don't shift at all, but I can see why Toyota would recommend against using 2 mats.

How long ago? I bought a set of weathertech front mats for our 3-door hatch, and the fit was completely off. I ended up taking pictures and sending them to their customer service department. They test-fitted for the sedan when they made them, but the hatch fit was completely wrong. I ended up sending them back and buying a set of hexomats (which I highly recommend).

I went to Walmart and purchased the THIN..see thru vinyl mats and my Yaris Floormats are well protected. I even put two small hole in the THIN vinyl mats and hooked them on the hooks where the factory Yaris Mats are attached..

Really? Great I get NO SNOW in Puerto Rico and my THIN mats from Walmart are in Mint condition and have the age of the car 2 years and 15,303 miles :thumbup:

I honestly don't know why so many people put floormats on floormats. Just put them in the washing machine with some oxyclean every 6 months and they come out looking brand new. Once they get worn in a few years jsut replace them. They cost about 60 bucks. All these fany floor mats cost more than that. So your using a floormat to protect your floor mat and its more inspesive than the floor mat your protecting?!?

Its just like those clear plastic 3m paint protection. They cost hundreds of dollars while a front bumper paint job cost the same if not cheaper. So in 5 years or so once you got a bunch of nicks on your bumper or scratchs. Just get it repainted.

How did they fit. I looked them up and i am thinking what your thinking now =). But mainly since i spilled motor oil all over both my floor mats. Dont ask how it happend.

used for 2 months, went to Canada to get, as the U.S. does not import them. If interested, call me 317-230-8239. Selling for $60, paid $105 when I bought them. They are great quality, I just sold my Yaris to get a bigger car since we had to turn in our lease truck. Damm, I miss 43mpg! :)

I live about 148 miles from Castlegar, BC. Drove up there this morning and picked up a set of the OEM Toyota all season rubber mats....these things are AWESOME!!!! I don't understand why they don't have them in the US, since here in Washington we are almost required to get the "cold weather package". Worth every penny in gas ($20) to go and get them. The border patrol going into Canada was a little bit of an a$$, but oh well!!!

They fit ok. Ya kinda gotta tuck the driver side on under the seat so it doesnt mess with your clutch and brake pedal much. But hey, thats the price i pay for good looks. Do you know what salt does to carpet? I will post a pic of what happens after a long winter to the floormats. They are completeley destroyed by salt lol. salt...hmmmm, I'm a little South for that. But yesterday, I was at a demolition derby out in the sticks. Smarter minds might say I shouldn't have been there, but there was cow sh#$ everywhere in the spectator parking.

I'd rather hose it off than get it in the carpet.

I just can't imagine spending that much money on a set of floor mats. In most cases you wouldn't spend that much to recarpet the entire car.

I've got a set of 4 all season mats from wal-mart and believe or not, it cost me about $30.00. They're thick and very good quality. I have them for about a year now. They have the edge so you can trim it to fit. 5* mats! :thumbup:

I had to return theirs. After 3 months, the raised part of the diagnal ridges wore clean thru...not from the clutch, but just from where I rest my bare (usually) left foot infront of the seat.

I got my all-weather mats from Eastway Toyota in Windsor, ON, Canada. The cost of the mats plus shipping all the way down to Texas came out to be roughly $140-ish. Would I do it again if I had the chance? Hell yeah I would!!:thumbup:

We don't get snow down here. But we do get muddy shoes when it rains. And those mats are my savior!

I ordered a set of Hexomats for the LB. Great fit but the off gassing was so strong it made my lungs wheeze and my eyes sting. I tried airing them, degreasing them, bagging them in kitty litter but they still stank baaaaad! They've been hanging outside on the fence since last fall and they still stink. No sense in having an environmentally kind car while you are being poisoned breathing in all those fumes. There's probably folks out there who love em. As far as I'm concerned they're staying on the back fence. They're real good at keeping the skeeters away.

Give it a while, the smell will go away. Most of the hexomats are made to order so the rubber is still new.
