Hello people.

I 've read a thread here about the König Helium wheels that the quality of those wheels seemed to be a crappy. But is this quality issue for most of the König wheels or was this problem only with the Helium series?

I'm looking for the König Feather, so I want to be sure that I won't face any problems...

I have never heard of any major, widespread issues with Konig wheels. They are cast (not forged), and fairly inexpensive. Some, such as the Feather, are pretty lightweight, too.

I will be the first of many on this site to say this: I have them and I like them.

Ok! Thx forthe information. It is indeed correct that they are pretty cheap for good quality. The only problem is that we pay in Europe almost double the price as in the US.

Perhaps, ordering directly in the US is an option. Does anyone know some good shops?

Look at http://www.jlbmotorsports.com/ they have lots of Konig wheels for a great price. I emailed them about getting a set of konigs that was not on their web site and they emailed me back super quick and had added the wheels to the site the next day.

I bought my Konigs (Maxxim wheels) through JLB, and was very satisfied. Great customer service!

I have heliums and have run over a couple of dead animals and other debris that was on the highway. They seem to be pretty solid.

I have a set of Feathers and my only complaint is that the counterbore for the head of the lug nut is too small. This becomes a problem when the socket you use to remove the nuts rubs on the painted surface in the hole and scrapes off the paint. The paint is too soft and it doesn't just get scratched, it peels off. Looks like shit if you're not real, real careful...

Actually, that is my ONLY complaint about them. It definitely helps to have an air ratchet when you're taking them off.

Thx for the information!!!

In the meanwhile, I have contacted JLB for shipping details, because I'm from Belgium. So the price will be a bit different.

On the other hand, ordering in the US should be much cheaper than here in Europe.

For example : König Helium Bronze in 16" costs 450$ (shipping costs in the US included) at JLB <-> König Helium Bronze in 16" costs 1214$ at J&R Carstyling in the Netherlands (shipping costs included)

And I can't imagine that it will cost me more than 700$ for shipping from the US to Belgium...

That's where I bought mine over two years ago. One of the wheels they sent me had some casting flash on the hub flange that caused problems on the balancer. Buywheelstoday sent me a new wheel quickly with no issues.
I'd buy from them again.

My Heliums have over 42,000 miles on them now with no problems.
