That's right- lets hear it. I'll start

I was on the 241 South (Toll Road) and some gay CHP officer pulled me over for my dark window tint.

I understand that it is not legal, but come on...get real! Pull me over for speeding (which I wasn't) or for not wearing a seatbelt (which I was) or pull me over for being brown (which I was), and then tack on the tint and front license plate thing but don't just pull me over for tint!!

That's gay.

I once got a ticket in my old car....
for not having my headlights on, just my parking lights... it was barely dark >:[
which led to him (and I) earning that my license was out, and so I was booked with driving without a driver... wtf.
Got it all cleared (thank god.)

I have only gotten a parking ticket in my yaris, 5 dollas. haha
I fit my yaris into this tight space between another car and a wall and thus got a ticket for parking in an "imaginary space". I seriously laughed when I saw it.

I got a ticket for going 10 over in the city in July

I got my second ticket for going 15 over in August

This car is too much fun, I've been driving for 7 years and these are the only tickets I've got.

Jill- I like that the officer wrote Vitz on your ticket. I say you scan and post it! That is classic.

Okay, so I haven't gotten a ticket since I was 16.. but when I was 16, I got pulled over 7-10 times every week. I hadn't been pulled over since I bought the Yaris. I think the cops around here are trying to make up for lost time. In the last 6 weeks I've gotten a total of FIVE tickets.

The first was on Highway 166, doing 60 in a 55. The cop was headed in the opposite direction, in between a couple of other cars. There were no other cars in my lane. As soon as he saw me, he flipped a bitch and hit his lights. He didn't show me his radar gun, and said he clocked me doing 80. He wrote me up for 70.

The second was in Orcutt, at 1AM on a Monday. There were no other cars on the road. I was doing 50 in a 45. The street was going from a 45 to a 35, so I was slowing down. Same story - cop saw me and flipped a bitch, and pulled me over. Said I was doing 50 in a 45, but it was turning into a 35. Wrote me up for 50 in a 35. Again, didn't show me his radar gun, said he didn't have it locked in and wasn't required to.

Number three was on Highway 1. This one was actually legit. I had 3 people in my car, and was headed downhill (engine braking, which doesn't do shit in my car with the extra weight). He clocked me at 80 in a 65, and wrote me up as such.

Then, I was going through Santa Maria. A SM police officer spots me two lanes over, and cuts someone off to get right behind me. She follows me for 2 blocks (extremely close to my car) before pulling me over and giving me a fix-it ticket for expired tags. I don't have a problem with giving me a fix it ticket, and its honest, but COME ON. You have to LOOK for an excuse to pull someone over to pull someone over and write them a fix it ticket for tags.

Last, the NEXT DAY, before I could get my new tags, I had my car parked in front of my house. My brother's Saturn was parked inches away from my car, so you really have to look to see my tags. I come home from work to find a parking ticket for expired tags waiting for me on my windshield. =(

I'm not really amused with my local police force ATM...

Yeah I'm just waiting for my insurance co. to rape me... They just raised my motorcycle insurance for no reason like two months ago, too.

EDIT: Are you sure? A link on the DMV website states that a minor moving violation is only one point. BUT license suspension is at 4 points. =/

i think it depends on the speed difference between posted and driven... but still even 1 point each, is a good amount of green

True. However, I'm taking #2 to court, and hopefully getting it dropped, and taking traffic school for one of 'em. So that just leaves (hopefully) one ticket on my license. Still, the parking ticket is 137.50, and the first two speeding tickets are 137.50 each, and the third speeding ticket is 203... plus 50 for traffic school.... all my Christmas moneys have "Dear CHP" written on them.

:bellyroll:

you should have just gotten stuff for your yaris! i wonder if it makes a difference if u get a lawyer? but, guess it will only be "Dear Lawyer" instead of the above...u still lose!:frown:

 I still have a license because I only ever got one ticket (until now :frown:). They always pulled me over for stupid reasons.. I later learned they had "profiled" me, as a potential drug dealer (I have long hair, a long beard, and always drove nice cars for my age.). So they'd pull me over for something stupid (1MPH over posted, engine braking, turning too fast, making sure I was driving with prescription glasses, etc. etc.) as an excuse to search my car, or see if my pupils were dilated or whatever.

Speeding through I-5 in Santa Clarita county.
Early Saturday morning, I got annoyed with the car tailgating me so I speed up just in front of a police car.
Total cost came to about $400
