1.1 inches wider, 2.7 inches shorter and 90 pounds lighter than its predecessor. The sportier versions will come with a 332 HP 3.7L V6. Nissan is trying to consolidate platforms, so they ditched the old Z's FM platform in favor of their new E platform that sees a lot of use in the Infiniti lineup of cars. They have added automatic rev matching to their manual transmission in this version. Can you say F1? Oh, and if you want an automatic you'll have to settle for the 7 speed from the G37. Weight distribution is still at 54/46 front to rear.
Pretty sweet car if I do say so myself.

I like the headlights in the new TT better, and what's that thing in the back in between the exhaust tips?

Unsure, let me do some digging and get back to you. In the first pics I can tell it is anodized red, but not sure on the others.

It's a rear fog light, but only in Japan and Europe, because US regulations wouldn't allow a rear fog light in that location....so it's a black plastic piece in this market

No worries. It being a foglight makes sense, but I think it makes it look ugly, in general I don't care for the look of the back, oh well, to each their own.

I must admit I am not at all a fan of Nissan's new "boomerang" head and taillight design language or whatever they call it... but this car does pull it off quite well!
And the car itself sure seems to be a really good evolution of the previous one which was just badass already... so it's all good! Nissan FTW

Like all the new Hondas, they did great on everything except the front end. But yes, like all the new Hondas, the car is better in every way other than that!

Haha, aesthetically, this car seems to appeal to some but not necessarily to others. There's no doubting that it's worlds beyond the older Z models in terms of craftsmanship, maneuverability and responsive handling though...

Nice! You probably saw them around the time the rally was in your area - did you make it out?
I agree; it's really cool to be able to check out the cars before they hit the market...I can even say I was one of the first girls to ever sit in a 370Z, haha! (well, at least I think that's cool  ) If you have any pics of the car, you should upload them to followthenissanz.com (http://www.followthenissanz.com)
The next one is January 4th, 2009 at Lollicup: 106 S. Semoran Blvd., Winter Park, FL 32792 from 2pm-6pm so head out if you can :)

Basically be prepared to see the headlight changes with Nissan. They are going from a triangle styles headlight to the new "boomerang" style first introduced by the new Maxima.

I didn't know that GT Spec was here on the Island. Looks like they're around the corner from where Unorthodox Racing used to be. Actually, come to think of it Unorthodox still owe me a favor. Too bad all they really make is pulleys and I have an automatic.

Haha it's not quite the same as a manumatic...check out this video (http://community.followthenissanz.com/_Z-SynchroRev-Video/video/453064/60840.html) for a closer look at what SR Match is about.

:biggrin:I know they're not the same thing.
Its like this.
Manumatics are for those who don't know how to drive manual. They say, I can shift MANUALLY in my AUTOMATIC, then look cool.
The revmatch is taking it to the next step.
I can't downshift properly, so I'll let the machine do it for me, and look cool anyways.
