Whats the highest offset and tire size for 17s you could go...

So looking to buy some 17s and tires eventually. Does anyone know the highest possible offeset of rim you could go without rubbing. And the best tire size to get you to the closest diameter of the factory 15s not to offset the speedo.

Keep in mind i have a sedan with trd springs. And i like to drive and turn very fast. So would not like rubbing even on the sharpest hardest turns.

215/40/17 is the exact diameter, but they really are too wide... With drop, I recommend 205/40/17's. Best offset for a 17x7 is +45mm.

i am running 17x7 with 215/40/17 and ofset is +35 no rubing
and it is lowerd on tein coilovers hope that helps

Yeah, coilovers are the exception to the rule. The extra stiffness prevents rubbing... I think with stock struts/shocks and just loweing springs you would rub quite baddly.

I would go with Peter's recommendation.

17 x 7's, Et 45 would be ideal. You can generally get away with Et42, but I wouldn't go any lower, because rubbing becomes an almost certain issue with 205mm rubber, plus the car just looks like a silly one-size-for-all fitment up front when the tyre sidewalls begin to poke out past the fenders.

OEM 17's are 205/45/17 on the European TS, which has a very mild drop right out of the box. With TRD's, the drop isn't too radical, and you can generally get away with this tyre size without worries, but you may want to consider 205/40/17's if you drive very aggressively.

Does anyone know the offset on these wheels? These are the ones i have on my acura. Thinking of putting them on my yaris.

Take one of those wheels off your acura and check the offset should be stamped on the back. more than likely it will be either an offset of 40 or 42. If you are interested i still have my TRD's.
