Hello,

This is my first post. I have a 2008 Silver Mica Sedan S that I lowered with DF 210 springs yesterday. I am interested in installing 17" SportMax 002 wheels, gunmetal in color. Has anyone run these wheels in the past and/or had problems with them, finish, etc.? Does anyone have pictures of these installed..any size? What would be the best offset for the wheels and tire size to avoid any rubbing problems? I'm just interested in best look not performance. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks.

You need 205/40/17 tires on those rims. And you should look for an offset of +42mm / +45mm

I had them on my car too, but I had 16's with a +38mm offset. Worked great.

Wow! thanks for all the info and ideas. So somewhere between 38 and 45 would be a good offset? Which would be best though?

Lowered on 16's with 195 rubber, ET38 will be fine.

Lowered on 17's with 205 rubber, ET42-45 would be better to avoid or reduce problems with rubbing.

thank you -- sometimes I wake up in the night thinking I went too far after that... :frown: oh well, at least I'm not standing still.

I would stick with the higher offsets +40 to +45 to avoid rubbing issues

Thanks Black Yaris..do you think 40 offset would not be enough? It seems like a popular one with my drop and 17s. Should I go with 16s to avoid any future problems. My Yaris is a daily driver.

Agree. A set of wheels and I am done. These cars can get to be overdone very, very quickly IMO. Oh wait....if somebody makes a NICE projector headlight assy, I may do those too as the car could use much better lighting.
