Thanks man for trying.

Found that one already.

I'm literally RunningOnFumes right now..going on 30 hrs no sleep (finals). As much as I want to help my Mom dial Aussie relatives...

This I know... 011 61 and I'm guessing 8 for the South Adelaide Region. Unless an Aussie member can confirm I'm thinking I have the wrong number for their house.

Oh...for the Aussie member who reads this, when you dial homes, do you include the zero at the beginning if it has one?> (I tried both with and with out to no avail)

Dial 0011618 then the 8 digit phone number for the house.
If you have any dramas, pm me with more details and I'll try to shoot you in the right direction.

00116108 then the number you want should do the trick.

Is Australia like Europe, where a locally-dialed number would have a '0' in front of it and not the city code? If so, he may have the local-dial number which would be a problem if he doesn't drop the '0'...

Cheers! M2

Thanks guys for your responses. I'll try all your advice.

8 digit house number???

Dammit, why do I have a 10 digit number for the house?

Because 08 is the area code

No, the number they gave us has no 08 ...hmm...it does start with 04 is that SA still?

That's a mobile phone number .

try 001161 then the 10 digit mobile number. I not sure if it will work though. If not try 001161 then the mobile number but without the first 0 (so 9 numbers).

Nice, works.

Thanks everyone.

Apparently the key was the number of digits, I didn't realize they already included the "area" (04) code in the number they gave.

That's not the area code. The 04 is just the first two digits of every mobile phone in Australia

Glad you got it working.
