it will make a huge difference. ive done it to previous cars and i loved it. it will really help the wheel hop issue also.

you will get vibration at idle, but you aslo get better smoother shifts, accel, decell, even handling will improve, basicly a much stronger feeling ride.warning the yaris's low idle will make it vibrate alot this only means the mounts are working.

So is it done? This is one that I'm really looking foreward to doing. I just can't be w/o my car for that long.

you could do it on a friday afternoon and the mounts will be ready by morning..

btw when i had the trans out this last time, i inspected my mounts, the urethane is still solidly in place. i've heard stories of it cracking and falling out, but my guess is that the person didn't prep the rubber properly (acetone the dirt out, scuff the surface of the rubber with sandpaper)

I thought there was ATLEAST a 24 hour cure time?

http://www.amazon.com/3M-8609-Windo-Weld-Super-Urethane-Black/dp/B000FW61EW

this is the product i used, and i know a couple other guys who have used it as well, no issues seen with a 12hr cure time

HOWEVER!!!! it also depends on the ambient temperature where you're doing the work.. keep them warm during curing and that'll speed things up

so, you just keep it in the house while it's curing. This is a cool DIY mod, love it.

My friend who owns and mods his Saturn told me about billet aluminum dog-bone replacements some of Saturn owners on his forum are using... sounded pretty interesting maybe better then this mod? I tried to google for it, but no luck... Maybe someone here can make them? NST???

C-ONE has some, but at JDM prices  Can't beat this method for cost-effectiveness!

If you look on NST's MySpace page they have made these not in production yet but they mocked them up

a week? wow! :D i let mine dry for 24hrs or so and it was good to go

i'm def interested in how the dogbone reacts to some solid mounting.

Can this mod be used on both autos and manual transmissions?

My friend did this to his civic but it makes the car idle severely bad. I think personally your better off just getting the nitto torque dampner. Unless you are going for a race setup. But if its your daily driver you are going to regret it after awile.

I agree with you. Also the torque dampner wont cost too much and can be removed anytime. You would probably vibrate your whole car to bits with stiff engine mounts. lol.
