pretty sure he means a cone filter
id imagine just rinse it out using warm water from the clean side to the dirty side (so stick the faucet in the cone filter)
thats how you do it with the oiled filters, but you spray on a cleaner on the outside first...

k&n filter cleaning kits come with a spray-on cleaner for the oil and a can of spray-on oil
im sure you could use soapy water for your filter

lol for my filter huh? well I dont want to buy a cleaning kit for an oiled filter if im not going to oil it i want to know if slightly soapy water will work well, and not hurt anything. Obviously its possible to do it lol i could "wash" it with gasoline and lighter fluid if i wanted to

ohhh ok haha my mistake. Well I've got another in case. I'll try vacuuming the filter off and wiping it down. If it doesnt get clean i'll just swap it.
