How much to lower

I want to lower my 08 LB but i still want a nice ride quality out of it. I want it a little firmer then stock but not by much and i don't want to drop the car to the ground just a subtle drop will be good. My problem is I am not sure what to get there are many options out there. So to all you guy's that do a lot of suspension work help me out please. I need help with springs and struts. What would be best for what I am trying to do. I also would like my struts to be adjustable for when i take the yaris out to autocross. I don't want coil over's for 2 reasons. 1 too expensive, and 2 I don't need to adjust everything just the damping rate is all.

i dont know much about autocross, but for normal every day use, with a subtle drop while still being able to use stock suspension, i think the most common choices among yaris owners are the tanabe NF210s, or the TRD springs (which i believe are often the same as eibachs). i think the NF210's will give u the smallest drop (~1.2 inches all around on avg?), and the TRD's should give about 1.2-1.5" drop i believe...hope that helps

Yea that's about what i want is 1-1.5 in drop but what about spring rate on the tanabe are they harder then stock, about the same or softer, also what struts would work well with them.

NF's are a mere 5% firmer than stock...so pretty soft

and i could be mistaken...the only way to get an adjustable shock is on a coilover...

not sure you'd want to auto-x on nf's though.....similar enough firmess to stock and minimal drop....youre better off running in a stock class (w/o the points for springs)

I’ve been doing a bit of research in to some now shocks/struts and springs for my yaris and from what i have found (i may be wrong) but there are not height adjustable/dampening adjustable shocks/struts for the yaris outside of coil over’s. What i decided to go with is TRD shocks/struts with tein s-tech springs simply because i didn’t think i would be satisfied with the drop that the TRD springs would give me. If you want to go with coil over’s, I think Megan racing offer a well priced high and dampening adjustable package

well I know they make shocks that are adjustable I have bought them before for my 88 MR2. the shocks were only adjustable within 5 setting on there dampening. I believe they were toikoyo or something and were white. they were really nice shocks. but they don't make them for the yaris. But I may just have to get coil over since I do want to make adjustments to the dampening, and driving autocross on stock springs is a no go for me I just cant bring my self to do that.

well if it helps, I have the TRD ones and as far as the stiffness is awesome, I don't know % wise but I feel like I didn't lost anything from the original ride... hope it help.

I'm not aware of any adjustable strut/shock set-ups for the Yaris with the exception of the high-$ coil-overs. That said, now the Tokico have entered the fray with their Blues perhaps they'll expand the line to include some of their adjustable models.
Sadly, Koni's website lists nothing for any Toyota (which I find strange).

I really like NF210s

Made my car look so cool and the drive is awesome! Mild drop and just a touch stiffer than OEM, feels like a new/better car!

Not for the Yaris. Tokico is working on Reds which will be adjustable, but they are not available on the market at this time.
