In this time of the financial recession, i don't think (even) toyota would do such thing.

Do you know what's involved into opening new dealerships? And i do not think Scion will work good in Quebec. People here are more on the fuel economy side..

Most Scion dealers here in the states use the Toyota dealerships as a launching/selling platform to ditribute their cars.

I don't think I've ever seen a Scion dealer that wasn't attached to or adjacent to a Toyota dealership.

we have one in Arlington that is a stand alone/take over of a former Chevy dealer. But to your point, the Toyota dealer is about a 1/2 mile up the road

It's going to happen sooner then you think, especially if they're going to bring the iQ to NA branded as a Scion.

I would assume they would just sell them out of Toyota dealerships as they are made by Toyota.
As for economy the older versions of the XB were Echo's with a different body, not sure about the newer version.
Since starting the post i have discovered many used XB's http://www.hebdo.net/result/result.aspx?searchtype=adv&category=4000&mk=SCION&md=XB&pro=QC&type=province
for sale in the Montreal area but at an inflated cost.

my body xB is on the NCP Chassis
in Japan they are the Toyota bB

The new xB here in the States is based off the Japanese Toyota Corolla Rumion

Yep, all the Toyota dealers around here also carry Scion. I have never seen a stand alone Scion dealership.

Umm I thought the Scion brand was hitting Canada real soon. There should be a thread on it unless it was made before the hack.

Yes, it will certainly be interesting to have the B.C. Toyota dealers carry the Scion line. I see quite a few Scions running around Vancouver and am wondering if people are buying them across the border and driiving them up here.

The scion xA/xB have shorter gears than a yaris (from what i remember from the echofans forum) It cannot have the same fuel economy than an echo.

There aren't any stand alone dealers here in the states as well. They are connected to the Toyota dealership in most places. If not then the same land right next door. You wont find just a Scion dealership alone. Only one I know of that is in two seperate buildings, but on the same property is Smithtown Scion. Either than that, the Toyota dealerships just add Scion to thier current name (i.e. Atlantic Toyota Scion).

Here's an article on the Scion Xb going to be available in Canada sometime 2010.

Hmm, the Xb doesn't look too hot to me right now. I'll stick with the Yaris.
