so i have been pretty stupid lately. ive been driving with a suspended license since october, well till yesterday morning when i got pulled over on i-4. the cop was pretty nice. he let me drive off i-4 and get my own towtruck. he took me license, registration, and plate, so my yaris is gonna be out of commision for a while. i have a court date on the 6th of january to find out my fate, which im thinking is gonna be a heffty fine. wish me luck!

I second the suggestion - at least talk to a lawyer. Soon.

Gee, I wonder what they meant when they suspended your license? Don't drive, maybe? Naaa, not really...
Like it or not, driving is a privilege and not a right. Be very happy that I am not the judge; I would let you have 30 days to figure out this fact, plus suspend your license for another couple of more years just to reinforce the idea that you DO NOT DRIVE while your license is suspended.
Good luck.
I can actually sympathize with you. My brother had his license suspended for a year because another driver hit him and then said that is was my brother's fault.
The officers believed the other driver and revoked my brother's license for a year without privileges. (because they both left the scene.)
So it's either; lose your place to live, your car, your job, etc?
Or drive illegally. Which he did.

Usually you can apply for a restricted license which allows you to drive from home to work only. If it gets suspended. But now that you have got caught already that is out of the question. I would get a decent lawyer. Should run you about a grand but it makes everything so much easier and will save you more money in the long run. Since there is a possibility of jail time for driving with suspended license.
