It's a grill block. Warms my engine up faster by preventing cold air from coming it, and keeps it hot during the cold spells which = better mpg. :biggrin:

How cold does it really get in CA?
I'm in NY and I've never seen anyone do that before. Some here with old cars will stuff cardboard in front of the rad though....:iono:

Aren't you from California? You should want heat to ESCAPE, and cool air to ENTER.

Yeah, it's not "cold" in comparison to anywhere in the northeast, but when you're used to having temperatures from 90F to 115F, 40 to 60 seems pretty damn cold.

40-60 I'd be out in a t-shirt and shorts. Come live out east for a year then go back.

WHAT??!?! 40-60 is heaven to me... lol

Better than -20 to -40... in Illinois.

Oh, and nice plates :D

Doesn't even need to be a year. I went to New Mexico for a week where it was like 17 degrees and then came back to CA and it was in the high 50's and I was walking around in a t-shirt and flip flops.

But you cant say it never gets cold here. I was just in knee deep snow here in socal yesterday.

EPA=Environmental Protection Agency

They are the people that put out the "official" fuel efficiency numbers in the States, at least that is the function to which I think the plate is referring.

Climate change would be a better term imho. Although that doesn't mean it's a good thing. A more volatile system is bad for us.....

And on topic...come to New Brunswick, even if it's not that cold out, the moisture will suck the heat form your bones! Today the windchill was -21 Celsius.
