i was wondering if someone could tell me what the pinout of the ignition switch is. i have looked at the connector and see it has 6 wires running to it. what is each wire?
thanks!

there's actually 7 wires? I looked into that, they connect in weird ways at each stage (ACC-ON-START)... look at the engine control PDF on www.etimago.com/yaris/repairmanual , page ES-249

The 09 pinout and colors are a bit different than the 07 and 08:
Yellow - Switched +12 VDC
Pink - Ignition
Green - Start
White - Accessory

Someone really needs to upload the '09 service manual and other '09 related files here.

Constant 12V is best gotten off of the fuse panel. Look at the red wire in this picture. Use a 1/4" female spade to connect to the top one of the two terminals.

I will eventually. I subscribed to TIS for one day and grabbed all of the EWD's and about 90% of the rest of the 09 service manual. I just need to convert the EWD's from the .svgz format (readable to Adobe Illustrator) to PDF so all can open them and combine the 1000+ separate documents into smaller groups. I had to print each small section (2-3 pages each) to pdf from the TIS site.
