I've been hearing the Lexus hybrid is supposed to be bigger and more powerful than the Prius. I think this is probably a photoshop.

There has been a long time rumor of a re-badged Prius going to be a Lexus and almost 10 grand added to the price....... no thanks.

From what I understand that image is just a photoshop guess made because a Lexus spokesperson said it would be a compact hybrid based on a current platform. I doubt the Yaris would move up to Lexus but I wouldn't be surprised to see it move over to Scion.

Sice we're on the subject ... is there an Acura that is a Civic 4dr (last generation, not the one thats out now) rebadged and has different tails? Could have sword I saw one yesterday.

Update ... OK so doing some google searching. It was a Canadian car which is in fact a civic. It was the Acura EL ...

Not a Hybrid, but an entry level car with some slight changes opposed to it's Honda badging. It was replaced with the CSX for the new generation (now) which again is a Civic with slight differences.

Why Does Canada get all the better stuff than the US?

So seeing that they have done it, I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota did the same thing. Maybe not necessarily a hybrid, but a new entry level car to keep the costs down and have younger people buy them. Only thing is that will it contradict with the Scion xD?

the CSX is actually a JDM civic with a left hand steering wheel.

the EL/CSX is actually just a luxury version of the Civic EX/SI. Comes with leather, moonroof, rear disc brakes and the bigger engine...

I remember this popping up on April Fool's Day this year. Was very intriguing, however.

generally, canadians are more into smaller cars than americans so you might find a wider range in compact and subcompacts here compared to the u.s.,

but this isn't always true because we are just now going to be getting scions.

If they made the sedan like that... Lexus badged and hybrid... that would undoubtedly be my next car.
