Last night around 12:04 am, I heard 2 booms and then, I felt the floor in my house shake a little for about 40 seconds. Nothing fell on the floor or anything like that but you could see somethings move aliltte bit. On the news this morning they said we had a 3.3 earthquake that was felt from the Maryland line to just north of Lancaster PA. I've never felt/been in an earthquake before. Has anyone been in an earthquake before on here?

Hell yeah. I lived in Santa Clarita for the Northridge quake in '94. 6.7 on the scale and about 15 minutes from our condo. We're lucky we aren't dead. I'm sure some of the LA members can tell you how much that sucked. 100 foot high freeway overpasses lying on the ground like toys, 2 hour drives to the city... it was a mess.

I've been in a 5.2 quake, live on the 6th floor...was scarred shitless.

I am on the other side of the Allegheny chain and felt nothing.

Do yourself a favor and have your place checked. Just in case something was damaged.

They've now pinpointed the epicenter of the Northridge earthquake as being in Reseda. A magnitude 6.7 earthquake underneath the house is a nightmare.

Happy you, your family, your house, and your Yaris made it thru ok. I've never experienced an earthquake, though if I could do it out in the middle of nowhere and it was a fairly mild one i think i would like to have the experience one day. A major one or one in while i was in a building would freak me the hell out i'm sure.
