Staying sober and making it a quiet New Year, unless those degenerates down the street set off big fireworks. The bombs were so big that they rattled the windows of my home from a quarter mile away.

Their Pap is running for town council so they might just set off firecrackers this year. We'll see.

I'm not a big drinker. I drink maybe 2-3 times a year and tend to get wasted once a year. Hope you and your family have a grouse new year.

Had a great time last night where I was. I ended up being the bartender at the bar which was missing some of my favorite liquors (it's all good) and we had a main topic that we were trying to figure out ... is this the last year for the 00 glasses? Because next year it will be 2010 and I can't see how those are gonna work anymore, lol.

It can't really be worse than last year - in the last week, I flew to England for my father-in-law's funeral, landed in boston last night, got home at 11:50 pm and found a message telling me that the company I work(ed) for has gone into receivership - no job for you in 2009!
