NF210 and DF210 lowering springs? [Archive] - Toyota Yaris Forums

does anyone have ether the NF210 or DF210? i know that th DF210 have a greater drop then the NF210, but which one is better for everyday driving. also with DF210 will i have to go around every speed bump i see? thank you :help:

I have the NF's on mine. Love the look and the feel. Went with the NF's since I sometimes carry people, dogs, and 50 lb bags of dog food. I only have 15" wheels and stock tires. No issues at all, but does seem a bit lower than I thought it would be.

We do plan to put the DF's on husband's blazing blue when we put his new wheels on. It is suppose to be a little lower, but he usually rides alone.

Roads around here are not bad and we seldom go down dirt roads.

thanks. i was also thinking about like you said having people in my car and the tires hitting the fenders. i have 15s also so good know that everything would work out. but is there a differance that you can tell when you put them on?

Can definitely tell a difference. Noticed it as soon as I picked it up from the shop. Ride is firmer? Not sure how to describe it. Feels more solid. I guess because I am closer to the ground. Just had the TRD sway bar installed as well. Have not driven much since Wed to see how that addition feels. Raining here again. Can really feel the difference between mine and husband's. No changes to his yet. Decided to stay with the 15" wheels for many reasons, no issues with the springs and cost to replace tires, etc. It's all a personal thing though.

Tires are the Goodyears that came with the car. P185/60/15 I think.

get nf's if you worry about being too low and the ride quality going to hell

With the DFs you will have some rubbing issues on bumps.I just put my stockies back on for winter and scrape my exhaust on bumps if I go to fast, with my 17s it did not scrape as I sat a bit higher,maybe a 1/2" or so.I never have passengers since car is for getting me to work and back and that is about it.

Here's mine with 17s and the DFs. The rear does sag a bit too low when I have people in the back; will probably be fixed once I get tokicos installed. It rides fine though, haven't had much rubbing issues at all. Hope this helps.

Nice, I like the look of that! I just may have to drop the money on some DFs...

I know it's been discussed before, but can I install them myself? I was able to put on a budget boost and new shocks on my Jeep Wrangler, so I have some mechanical skills; but I don't have a large array of tools at my disposal...

If it isn't difficult, I would give it a try; but if it is better left to a shop to do, I have someplace that doesn't gouge me for labor. If anyone has instructions, I would be grateful.

Honestly I get more rubbing withthe stock tires than the 17s,with the 17s they rub the wheel wells,with the stockies I rub frame of car on bumps but wheels are clear.

To install it is really easy to do.Took me and a buddie under 4 hours and most of that was spent talking and sipping beers.

Need Jack,jack stands,17mm offset box wrench,alen wrenches,torque wrench and a few other wrenches,seems 14mm was what it was.Easy install.hardest part was getting rear springs out....new springs go right in..

Also once springs are in wait a couple of weeks and get an alignment.mine took about 3 weeks to fully settle.I have not gotten the alignment as I was using used tires on the rims so I was not worried about trashing them,but with the way my camber sits now I have chewed up the inner treads of the tires pretty good in about 9000 miles.but tires already had 28000 miles on them when I got them...Falken 512s....they just wont die.....lol

Rims are 17x7.5 w 42 offset,took forever to figure out how to read the markings on the back and had to call company that made them.

I always had a concern regarding DF's...
Does it bottom out if you have 4 ppl sitting in your car?

yes you will bottom out at times with 4 in car with DFs.tires will rub in back too depending on offset.front seems fine with 4 in car though.I only use car for going to work and back and at best carry one passenger or a few tools,NFs really would be a better spring for having passengers.

LOL I forgot that was on there.....a person on the xB forum on Scionlife was selling them a while back.It has a magnet base and then the winding part on top.They had those and the nose rings for front bumpers.

NFs look just as good on the carand they ride fine too from what I hear.With DFs you kinda gotta learn to live with the hazards of bumps,dips,and entrances with lip kit on.

I think with your tire size you would be fine with the DF's. And for saftey I would add a rear sway bar. Helps keep the car parrallel to the ground.

Yeah I cannot wait to get my sway on as well.even with 17s and the drop it is still a little soft in corners.

I live in a place were every 4 seconds I will hit a bump of some sort.

I usually have a passenger.

And I have the TRD srpings, I really am debating to get NF's because of the harsh ride quality.

I need new shocks right now, mine are dead and the car is bouncing all over the place. I guess after the new shocks, if the ride is way to harsh, I will change from the sportivo to NF's?

Someone give me some heads up please.

I love the way my car rides with NF210s with 205/50/15 no rubbing at all and it's a pleasure to drive everywhere but deep snow!

yeah, i'm rocking 17's. 4x100 i think (honestly not sure on tire sizes). usually ride alone, maybe my girlfriend in there too. dfs? really don't want a great deal of rub, but want it to look slammed down.
