Hey guys I am looking into getting a shift boot from redline but when I check their website it is like 50 bucks for just the shift boot  I was under the impression that people were paying not much more than that for both the shift boot and e brake boot. Are there any special discounts for Yarisworld members?

Check fleabay. I've seem 'em go for like $20 on there. Not sure if they were Yaris specific though.

i know in Canada the 2009 5 speed come with a stock leather shift boot. Maybe the us has them in the s model. It will probably be expensive but it will be a perfect fit. Not sure of the stock number. Maybe someone here can get it.

I have the Redline one, love it. And yes, when they were a vendor on here there was a code you could use for a discount.

from past public and personal experiences:

1) buy both boots together, far more worth it
2) mine, and several other peoples' were shipped real fast, but there are some like Gideon who seems to be waiting for quite a while. Remember these are shipped out from Europe, international mail is not always thaaaaat reliable
3) It just looks awesome

Well just got mine in today!

Took longer than quoted, but it ships out from Poland, so I figured it'd be awhile.

To anyone else reading this if cost is an issue, you can always either:
1/ email Maciek at Redline and ask him if they have any current discount oupon codes
2/ Do a google search for Redling Goods Coupon Code [or similar] and see if he has posted a current code on other car forums.
Codes aren't specific to a forum and he does post on a lot of other car sites.

Maciek comes across as nice guy as was really helpful and courteous when I bought mine last year.

You wont regret the purchase.

Anybody else have fitment issues? I hate to d-bag RedLine, but here is my experience.
I ordered both boots and tried installing the shift boot first. The notches in the leather were nowhere near where they should be to line up with the trim ring. I tried messing with it every which way, but no good. I contacted RedLine and they said I could send it back with my trim ring (at a cost of almost $12 to me) and they would make it right. I got it back and it was better, but still wouldn't stay on the trim ring well. I tried some double sided tape, which helped, but I didn't like how the boot looked on the car. It would kind of sink down in the shift hole and pull away from the trim ring. I got it so I was sort of satisfied with it, then decided to try to install the parking brake boot. There was no way the parking brake handle was going to go through the boot. The hole in the boot was sewn way too small. I even tried to lube the handle so I could slide the boot over. I know it needs to be a tight fit, but as I pulled on it, I popped a couple stitches.
Both boots are currently in the landfill...

haha i was just thinking the exact same thing. But then i would have to make it a habit of looking up at the dash when i shift not down.

But then its not like you really hvae anywhere to look when your shifting with a manual anyways.

FYI - The Toyota 09 OEM boot is "pleather", not real leather, which is nto a big deal, but might make a difference to some. Also, it uses a totally different trim/mounting ring, which is only sold together with the boot from Toyota (I checked). It costs about $47 for the "kit" from the dealer.
Seems like a better deal to just buy a Redline and have the ability to custom-order and mount with the trim ring you already have. IMHO

That being said, I have an 09 "pleather" boot w/o trim ring that I'll sell for $15 shipped to anyone who's interested in retrofitting, or making it work with your current ring. :)
