added the Rear Bumper cover from TRD SPArks
was sick of cringing every time the Dog jumped into the car
and got a pair of sill plates from another member on here!
Check it out (i hate salty winter driving) lol a car wash cost almost as much as a tank of gas

i was pleased that the bumper cover was black. I expected it to be a charocoal grey color.. most of the ones i've seen are a greyish black

I am considering doing the bumper guard but I think that I may just use the 3M paint protection film.

the 3m protective .. is that the clear film? prolly a pain to get on there without air bubbles . i'd like to have that done to the front of the car though.. that would be nice

That bumper guard might look even better if you extend the ends all the way to the edges, like so (sorry for the crude photoshop BTW):

Unfortunately, the bumper guard you are using, although official Toyota, are famous for fading and turning grey within a matter of months. Sorry for the bad news.
The honeycomb or Yaris imprinted onces are better, and still official Toyota parts. They are not prone to fading, have great texture, and are a deep black. I use the honeycomb one myself (matches better with the front grille).

i wanted the one that went over the lip.. the dog seems to step there often getting in and out of the back..
maybe i'll try to find some sort of UV protectant for the strip :)

That's the primary area that scuffs occur, I agree. On that corner edge.
Don't use Armour All on anything Toyota. They recommend against it.
They also say don't use anything with Alcohol in it for cleaning. But then they give you alcohol prep pads for cleaning. :iono:

Yeah, dude that type of protector will definitely fade out to grey in 6 months or less, mine did. I got rear ended so I had to remove it anyway, I'm going to re-paint it with gloss black krylon fusion and see how it holds up.

No plastic cant be powdercoated. Cause you have to bake the powder on at like 400º's, therefore melting the plastic.
