sorry dude but i'm pretty sure no yarises come with that, and i hear putting one in is some tough job, and if not done correct can cause tons of leakage and car won't drive straight, etc.

really? i would think you can get a moonroof, but i love to have a sunroof that opened. and what would a sunroof do tomaking the car not drive straight?

Different air flow? :iono:

But JC Whitney has some universal kits. I was looking at putting one on my old 73 Beetle. But if you go that route get a GOOD bodyshop to do it.

Before the hack, there was a member who had one installed.
It was pretty nice looking.

Yes, I think he got the job done for about $700.
Can anyone remember the brand name?

I've looked into this a little bid, and your best bet would be to go with a spoiler style sunroof - that way drain tubes won't have to be installed to drain the water that WILL leak through a non-compression seal.

Hey-- My ears were ringing!

Yep- I have a sunroof, and it was installed by Auto Sunroof of Larchmont here in Westchester County New York. It cost me about 470, and I can't remember the name of the roof, but I think it's a webasto.

It really opens the interior of the car up. I have had no problems with leakage, and the car drives straight (!!??!!). Although it is a pop-up, the glass is removable for some open air motoring

Here's a pic with the glass removed from the Lawrence show in October

It should be a factory option along with Electronic Stabilty Control, Cruise Control and Climate Control.

That sunroof looks great!!! You made a good choice with the black rims and the black projector lights as well; it really compliments the car color. Meteorite Metallic for the win!

Looks are one thing, but has anyone considered stuctural integrity? With such a small surface area for the roof, carving so much of it out for a sunroof opening would weaken the safety elements of the roof (just wondering). :iono:

I was present when the roof was cut open and the moonroof installed. Trust me, there was ZERO structural integrity in the tin snipped out. It was < or IS> as flimsy as cardboard, and the area contained no structural crossmembers. Nothing over your head but headliner and tin.

if you really wanted the look of a sunroof on the cheap there are always the faux sunroofs!

The pre-post hack one was Violin's. He had a powered one in a Meteorite Metallic LB.

I saw a blazing blue LB in a Toronto hotel parking garage with one as well. It looked to be OEM (I think it is an option in some places other than the US).

I really want to put one in my LB. The Webatso 4300 is about the best looking one that I've seen. It retails for about $1000 installed. I can't seem to find the Webatso kit for sale - I'd really prefer to install it myself.
