You joined in October and you still haven't been to a NST sponsored meet? Its freaking cool. Albeit there aren't that many Yarii that show up but there are some cool Scions and other Toyotas that show up. My favorite one of all is the NST green AE86 drifter! I REALLY want to drive that car one day, even if its just to the gas station for some cigarettes.

Anyway, there is beer, sodas, FOOD, raffles, guitar hero, pictures, car talk, gun talk, demos, and whatnot. Plus, its ALL free (except for raffle).

Usually drift demos are in the neighborhood of $10 per passenger.

This is the type of ride you can expect...

And we plan to offer passenger pics and in-cabin video this time around!!!

Please come out and spend the day with us if you can.

Maybe you should plan a trip to Houston FEB 1. This is SUPER BOWL weekend and we are even planning a large super bowl watch party (after drift demo) for those who attend and go for ride-a-longs!!!

And you sir, are the only Yaris owner that is consistently in attendance. Many thanks for the continued help and support, we certainly do appreciate it.

See you at the FEB 1 drift demo!!!

Hey, I gotta show my support one way or another.

My friends think I am dork because I go to meets. I tell them, I go to the rifle range to meet up with other gun-nuts. Try and call me a dork there!

Woo-hoo! Another Yaris FTW! You'll like it. Although we'll be over run by Scions and X-Runners, all of them are friendly and are cool to hang out. I admit, I am not very knowledgable about engines. But if you bring up a conversation about guns or medical, then we are rolling...

And don't be scared of TexKid and all his nonsensical gun talk in this thread

He is actually a very nice and friendly guy. We love having him around

Woo-hoo! I had a blast riding the 350z and the Corolla GT-S. Best $20 ever spent. I must say, the Corolla was WAY more fun than the 350z. I think because the 350z had "state-of-the-art" suspension and so it prevented the vehicle from rockin' and rollin' unlike the Corolla. Plus, the Corolla had awesome green rims!

really wish i could find a large parking lot around here to TRY that in.

yeah i don't know if you guys have these meets elsewhere but i'd be there for sure if you were in san antonio. houston is just way too far. good to know there are some yaris owners representing though.

We usually have about a dozen Toyota Xrunners, Scions, Hondas, etc in attendance... including the several hundred random spectators that show up to these demos... Yaris owners are usually just one or two.

We need more of you guys to show up and support these events in Houston before we can even consider them in other cities as a realistic option.

We hope to see at least a few of you March 1.

I went there this past weekend I drove from DFW 3.5-4 hr drive for me. You guys drive the fuel eff. all gas motor out its not like a tank and a half of gas is going to really set you back. I will also be going this next event too!

DAMN it! Wish I could've gone. I had an exam to worry about. Hopefully some other time VERY SOON!!

To all other Yarii owners, y'all gotta come on down to these meets. They are pretty fun. Yeah, there are some other X-runners and Scions, but nonetheless, it is VERY much worth the trip.

Maybe...

The lack of support from certain communities is going to kill these events.

Not really he's calling out all the the people that say they will be there that don't go and encouraging the maybe's. I don't mind using a tank and a half to go see these guys it like $30 out of my pocket. Big deal thats not even 3 hous of work! If anyone is in the DFW area that wants to go to these and doesn't want to drive all the to Houston shoot me a PM and I will take you!

Now that is a ball buster.

Why is it a ball buster?

What I stated is pure fact. 100% accurate.

We have at least 15 to 20 members on YW who live in TX. FACT.
We have only two members ( you and lilrocket ) that have shown up to our last six meets. FACT.

Take these statistics and multiply them across the 12 to 15 forums that we actively post on, and read my statement again...

People say they want events and meets, but don't support them. Then they complain when these meets and events become extinct. FACT.
